Wow- just went back and read all the threads to see what this was all about, cool story, you never forget your first rick, I got mine in 1978. Love the walnut and maple on the modern ricks. Anyway- looks like a beautiful woman got a beautiful guitar, congratulations.

Very nice guitar, Sheena. From all those who admire 650s but don't yet have one.

Far as waiting goes, I bought a 620 the first week of February and shipped it straight to Paul W.

We've been waiting for a part for a few weeks, which has given him extra time to make the finish even better.

But the gist of it is, he expects to ship it to me later this week.

Congrats Sheena!! Looks like a couple beauties there to me.

One thing though - keep playing your acoustic too, just to keep up your chops. If you neglect it too long you'll think it's impossible to play after being spoiled by the Ric for a while. ;-)

My first Ric was in '78 too Mark.....a brand spanking new 4001 JG.
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
