"Paul McCartney, was my idol I wanted to play bass because of him and a Ric. because thats what he played."
geezer butler and john paul jones opened my ears and made me want to play bass.both P bass players back in the day.
i just love the feel and tone of my ric

"Finally, I heard someone say that they can't find a 620 to play before ordering one. If you're in the Denver Colorado area I can give you some advice. If you're not, try to find someone on this forum that lives nearby and has one that they'll let you try out."

bob,
i am from asroria queens originally born and raised. we bought a house just north of redhook 5 years ago and moved up.
its a shame we dont have any decent stores around here. allegro comming more and more irritating to go to as the owner has begun to insult customers.
the place in the mall closed.
alto is good in wappingers but always to busy.
i found imperial 2 weeks ago and ended up buying a les paul.
marks music is ok if you want to run into ritchie scarlett once in a while.
do you know of any other places around?
do you play with a band?
what music do you play?

After waiting for over two years for a new 4004cii5 only to have the order cancelled by Rickenbacker without so much as a "we're sorry" or a "we made a mistake," I can say that I am more than disappointed in Rickenbacker. I thought it was a classier company than that.
I may never buy another Ric.

No band right now... focusing mostly on home studio and geting together the itty-bitty little record label...
www.in-decentrecordings.com
If you surf through you'll find a link to the label's myspace, the song "Requiem" will likely be the intro to my record, just my 4001 and my wife soloing on her Tele.
There's a great place in Middletown whose name escapes me... last time I went there they had a sweet 360FG that I'd have loved to bring home...
