Here's a classic...one of only 75 handmade Standel combo amps, built in '54, for sale by its original owner. Most of these went to steel players, and this one is no exception. When you get done picking your jaw up off the floor at the sale price, look at the nice Rick pedal steel in the background.

Looks like Don had a high quality combo all these years. Actually, someone probably got it fairly cheap.

I've seen Standels sell in the $5K range, but over $12K is an eye-opener!

Probably due to the known history and pedigree. And it is really clean with the covers and all.

I like how the electronics section looks so 50s. Built like a tank also, no doubt.

Agreed, but I'm still a bit surprised. These are legendary amps. And how 'bout that Rick console pedal steel? I'll bet he keeps it.
