Thanks for the link, Elys! I was able to click the ">>5mins" button several times while listening in real time and it took me right to "Lucky Seven" playing and then the interview. Good anecdotes in it! I wish Chris wasn't interrupted as much, though. Peter did somewhat suddenly disappear after being insistent in his question...hmm LOL

Hey Chris,

Just a FYI,

I sent an email asking confirmation of my order and I had my mail returned. Is it possible your mail box is full?

I just thought I'd let you know JUST IN CASE there is a problem and you are missing orders!

A message (from <[email protected]>) was received at 10 Aug 2007 0:34:26 +0000.

The following addresses had delivery problems:

Tony yahoo.co.uk gives account holders unlimited storage so I don't think that's the problem.

Tony, I think that Comcast is the problem here, I got the same message.

Thanks Dave,

That wouldn't surprise me in the least. Ever since Comcast took over for Adelphia, it's been horrible.

We haven't heard anything from Squire Central in a little bit, I hope things are running smoothly for them!

Tony, I spent a half-hour on the phone with Chris and Scotty on Friday, and another hour yesterday, and got some news for you all relevant to the FOOW release.

As far as the email problems getting email to their yahoo.co.uk address, that address may be going away soon. You can now write them at their own <[email protected]> directly, and both Chris and Scotty will get it immediately.

Chris is suddenly getting very busy with both fulfilling orders, as well as what may or may not be a brand-new Secret Project (details of which I cannot disclose Image ), and is working full-tilt on both. Email may be a little slow getting turned around, but Chris is diligently trying to answer all email himself still, and is grateful for your good will and patience indeed Image

I can tell you one thing, though, Chris is very fortunate to have a partner like Scotty. Not only is she working side-by-side with him on Stone Ghost, she treated him to a special home-cooked meal last night, a Filet Beef Wellington, with duck (not goose) pâté de foie gras and a crêpe underneath (to soak up the steak juice, yum!). So don't be looking for him to have answered ANY email last night Image Image

Of course, balancing this is the regular weekly Tuesday night Taco Bar at the Squire's House. Everyone in the London Chelsea area who is a poor struggling musician is welcome to stop by any Tuesday Night and have a taco and a drink at Chris and Scotty's gourmet taco bar.

Isn't it great that they are the complete opposite of the stereotypical unreachable famous rock star? These are a couple of sensitive, down to earth people who love kids and family, and both stay in touch with and help younger folks in the local music scene. Amazing, in this day and time.

I think the autographed copies of the new FOOW that you will all receive will have been well worth the wait, when they arrive. The only thing slowing it down now will be the tardiness of the Royal Mail, getting across the Atlantic by what seems to be carrier pigeon at times....

That just blows me away. I wish he'd lived in Minneapolis in the 80's...man, I was Really Hungry.

Especially for tacos and a drink.

Squire really does rock.

Yes have been my favorite band since 1972 and there isn't one thing I've ever heard or read about them that has ever disappointed me. Hearing these things about Chris only confirms why I've always liked his music. I think they're just good folks!

Yeah, I finally sent him an email via my Gmail account & all is well.

He actually emailed me to make sure that I wasn't getting multiple invoices too -- it's always nice when a bass hero is also a class act!

Thanks Elys,

I don't know if my order actually got through to them, but I'll just try to be patient. The Paypal payment when through, so I'll assume my order is in.

"a brand-new Secret Project (details of which I cannot disclose"....Oh man, how about a FULL & COMPLETE Chris Squire Bass TAB and/or score of all his works!Image Can you imagine just how THICK that book would be!?!?

Man, to think of all the minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, YEARS I'd have saved from my life trying to figure out what he is doing.....and I STILL can't do it! Only bits and pieces....

Hey, I can dream, can't I? Image

It went right over my head all this time (including the .uk e-mail address that I sent correspondence to!), but when did Chris move back to the U.K.? Last I knew he was living in L.A. - guess I haven't been paying attention. Image
