PEHAYES: Same request as with datru.
Drummers: If you want to give Dave D. a breather, pick you song(s) and let me know.
Skip, just let me know which songs you need me on. I was offering because I wasn't sure if there was a bass player available. I know most of the songs and of the ones I don't, I will learn them. It's up to you. If you have your bass player by all means let him play.
Pat
And we're glad to have you! Thanks for stepping up. It's nice to know we're covered on the low end.
I'll put you down on all songs except "Tailspin". Let me know if there are any of the songs you especially want to play. I will save them for you. I'd really like to get other guys involved as well-especially since we'll probably split into two segments. I will have them pick from those not saved for you or add a request if there's an opening. I'm hoping more guitar players will sign up as well. Other than "Tailspin", I'll only play if needed.

I believe Paul A (don't hurt if I'm wrong, Paul) is doing an '80s set. I'm doing a British Invasion-type set.
On a somewhat related note, does anyone know what happened to Collin Whitley? Normally, he'd have beyond a number of posts in this thread...

"Danotron" Dan Saifer is taking the reins for the 80s set; I have two midterms this week and next, and Joey, Rich, and I are already worked over with a lot of the behind the scenes organizing. We're putting it together though. It'll be out soon.
Here's a copy of the working 80s list:
SONG GUITAR GUITAR BASS LEAD VOCAL DRUMS
Eton Rifles Paulie Rich Joey
In The City Paulie Rich Joey
The Modern World Paulie Rich Joey
I Wanna be Sedated Rich
Blitzkrieg Bop Dan Joey
Radio Free Europe Rich Ross
Can't Get There From Here Rich Ross
The One I Love Rich Ross
Man on the Moon Rich Dan Ross
Begin the Begin Paulie Ross Ross?
Zero Hour Rich Paule
Ziggy Stardust Paulie Rich Joey
La Grange Joey
**We should add the Cure's: "Just Like Heaven" and "In Between Days"
Dan wanted to add the Ramones' "Beat on the Brat" as well.
We're open to other suggestions, of course.
Hey, for the 60s set, it would be cool to add a couple more Kinks numbers (all of their hits basically revolve around two riffs)
Vaiations on the "You Really got Me" riff":
Til the End of the Day
I Need You
All the Day and All of the Night (already on the list)

Yes, I heard from Collin yesterday. He has just been busy with starting a new job. He confirmed he is attending SCARF and bringing his two Rose Morris models to display.
P.S. And Jake, it was also confirmed by Collin that he'll take the

Clapton solo duties on While My Guitar Gently Weeps as you requested !
Question Jake -- we're hoping you'll want to do the Dave Davies fast-paced, distorted-riffy, short solo in Gm on The Kink's All the Day and All the Night ?

I'm not exactly "Mr. 80's, but I'm up for guitar on La Grange with Joey and The One I Love with Ross and Rich. I assume Joey on Bass, rich on guitar. How about Ross?

Yep, I'd love to play La Grange. I added that one to the list of songs.
Hey Skip, how about "Time Of The Season"? Where has Gary been? He knows that one also!
Mark, welcome to the forum. Good drummers are certainly welcome!

SCARF-Ricktoberfest® Jam Updates
OK, we have the following Categories or "Themes" of jams established. As you can see from the numerous Thread Postings, some exchanges are going on with people signing up for tunes they'd like to participate in.
We're adding the Category/Theme of "60s and Beatles and 12 String Favorites" as a pretty broad category, and Gary C. is going to Quarterback this segment. There are already lots of tunes posted that fit this category, (see the earlier posts from Steve F. and Jake K. and Skip B., etc.) so we'll just batch these 60s tunes when we get everyone at SCARF.
Jake - - - -
Classic Rock and British Invasion extravaganza
Gary - - - -
60s & Beatles & 12 String Favorites (Yeah, Yeah, Yeah and Turn, Turn, Turn)
Scotty - - - -
70s era (Wish You Were Here)
Skip - - - -
Surf and Instrumental (Next best thing to being in Hawaii)
Danotron - - - -
80s First Wave/New Wave (Narrow Tie and Attitude required)
Looks like more than 35+ Jammers at the last count !!! We've got a drum kit and P.A. system lined up !!
Must be 4 or 5 Drummers, Scotty's keyboard wizard from ProgKnowSys is sitting in and there will be enough

Double Bound Rickenbackers on hand to give you "Double Vision" !! It's going to be an enjoyable Confluence !

I'll play lead on Walk Don't Run and Wipeout if there's still openings.

Also, if anyone is bringing an Accent vibrato to sell at the swap meet, I'm looking to buy one. Not necessarily a vintage one, just used or even new.

I'd like to play bass on these if the slot's open. Maybe sing, too.

Since the first sign-up sheet had an underwhelming response, there is a new one.
You can pre-sign up or put your name to songs on the printout that will be at The Starting Gate.
If you see the same name repeating in a column, that's because they are songs that person had requested to play.
If there are not all the necessary players for a particular song, it won't get played, but I'm sure all if not most the spots will get filled eventually.
The list can be added to, post more songs here if you like.
I'm sure there will be time for spontaneous jamming as well.

Scott, work out with Ross about playing bass on the REM songs as those are the only songs that I recall him requesting to play on.

Well done, Joey. I've volunteered for some other tunes. I didn't realize Ross was on bass on those, they're all his.
I'll try to post this to the facebook page if I can.

Yeah, I kinda figured on playing these...Scott and I can duke it out for added entertainment value!
Another Idea is "What's the Frequency...." unless that's too "top 40" for y'all. I know bits and pieces of other stuff like Yes, Genesis and Floyd but I'm rusty.
I think I've also been "voluntold" for bass on Blitzkrieg Bop...

I'll need to bring some dark sunglasses and a mop to wear on my chrome dome!
