I'm ready!!
I must apologise, Sheena. I wasn't able to celebrate your 650D last night. I had to drive my son Pat over to a friend's place and pick him up at midnight - better not to to tempt fate with the booze buses on a Friday night!!
However, there will be a celebration for two reasons later in the day. Mmmmmm..... champagne!
I have caviar in the fridge if I feel the need....

I have at least three reasons to celebrate, because we're also having a birthday party for our son tonight.... Is this a great day or what?
Ready for Rickenparty!

Melissa, it's finished. I strung it up, set it up and played it. It sounds great and plays beautifully. I see why you are attached to it.
I have tried all day long to photograph the finished guitar. With the lighting I have at my office, I cannot capture the color. It is very frustrating.
I am going to photograph it tonight at home and post then. It will be shipped tomorrow or Monday.
I don't want to post pictures on this Forum until they properly represent the guitar, as many Forumites will never see it except in photos.

Here are the best of the lot from my office.
The guitar is actually a rich purple and the center of the burst is not as pink as the photos would indicate. I've never seen a color so difficult to photograph. Under fluorescent office light, the outer edges photograph bright blue!
Under flash or photoflood, the burst washes out entirely, looking like pale lavender.
So it's become a trick to capture it under available dim light. More tonight...
