Sweet!
Is it just me or are MCC's guitars at the show (Or wherever the photographs were taken) a lot more "bursty" than the stock 360 shot that will show up at all the mail order websites?
Both styles look great - the 360 in the stock photo is yummmy! What a nice, subtle fade! Yum!

I'm sorry but, upon first look...yuck. The 660 looks cool flamed but, too stark a contrast moving from blue to natural for me. Just first look though. I'll probably see more and love it and get a 4004 to compliment my new 4003MB bought from POTR which will be delivered TOMORROW!!!! The wait is terrible.

That's kinda why I mentioned the diference between the stock photo. . . it's very different from the others.

Oops, 620. I like the stock photo on the site, though. I almost bought a Midnight Blue 4003 last year. If I can get close to the shade on their website, a 4004 will be in the cards. Forgiveness is easier to ask for than permission

By the look of her face, the pic's look like they are from when Mary Chapin Carpenter was presented with her Blueburst Rics. This is her performing in the Uk 2/3 years back

DARNIT!!!! DRATS!!!!!
I have a Midnight Blue 4003 which I love and will not part with and I can't see having another blue Ric....especially when the shade is similiar (except for the "burst" aspect, of course)....oh well, guess I'll start counting the days until the '06 color of the year

Looks better with the black hardware...burst appears better on the Chapin photo.

Actually, the hardware in the photo is chrome. The guards are Black.

Forgot the black hardware was discontinued (should have remembered since I have a 360 with black hardware and no replacement parts, if needed)...but it still looks better with the black pickguards and the chrome hardware

Mike, how did you find that site? I clicked in news, and did not find the same page.
I like the flamed look, but not enough to buy one.
Oh well, I wonder what 2006 will bring?

The 360 on Rickenbacker's page looks pretty good, and though it's not my fave Rick, it's their biggest seller. The 600-series shown in the presentation photo has a lot more maple showing. It looks fine, though the fabulous flaming on that particular instrument contributes a lot to the look. The acoustic looks a bit flat (pun intended...). The 360 has a lot more blue in the center area of the burst.
Remember--these are WEB photos. IMO, the guitars are going to look tons better in person! I'm thinking about a 330 right now.
