Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Certainly looks like a Rollie. Using the sportsfinder, focusing at 15' at f:8, Tri-X film, and using a Honeywell Strobonar was perfect for basketball (back when).

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
It is definitely a Rollie TLR, just exactly which is hard to make out; I do know that it is either an E or an F with a 2.8 lens (no earlier), of course, from this photo it is impossible to tell whether the taking lens is a Schneider Xenotar or a Zeiss Planar (the preferable lens).
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Yes, but are there any people on this forum that know anything about cameras?
Sheesh, that's more detail than I thought possible!

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
My father used to have one.... took all the baby pix with it.
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Nice! Thanks, Kent.
Rollieflex 2.8F.
Hasselblad 500C with a 250/5.6C lens on it.
Nikon F.
Early Asahi Pentax (pre-Spotmatic) with interchangeable finders.
I am not sure what the rangefinder camera in the airport shot is. Paging Paul Boyer!!!

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Not sure of the range-finder camera, either. Definitely not a standard Leica, though. The Nikon F is a classic. The Pentax appears to have an add-odd meter with its own eye and is synched to the shutter adjustment knob. I don't think the Pentax had a changeable finder; I think this meter just sat on top of it.

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
Looks like you are correct about the Pentax; here is a photo of one with a slightly different meter on it.

Bravo to them, I'd been hoping this'd show up (there was a similar video of his other Rick).
