Duh. That's what a manager gets. A collection of papers. Oh well. Nobody appreciate managers' work, everybody think they only steal money from artists. He-he. Maybe that's fair.

OK Sheena, so I take it the old money is worthless? Perhaps between us we can scrape together a few of these.

OMG! Now, that's a lot of money! This one can buy a coupla matchboxes! Image
Nah, it's not worthless, it's rather "a collector's item". But we have some yearly local fests where one can buy something for Soviet money & Soviet prices. 10 Soviet roubles was quite a lot way back then - my first "toy" guitar cost 3 roubles 17 kopecks.
Er. I actually do it for fun, not for money. And maybe i've found a bassist and a drummer, so that the "band" would be complete, but the "deal" is still in works. Well, in case you need it to be complete. A "Simon & Garfunkel" kinda duo may work even better. IMHO.

Aitch, Glad to hear you have arrived safely. Did you order any Tasmanian Buffalo Wings with aboriginal fire sauce when you were at the Outback Steakhouse?

Paul, you've got him now. No refunds. No returns. Greg R, Ron V and I have all commented how quiet it is around here! Image

Seeya both in a few days!

Good to hear you've landed and got a bed, I'd imagine you'd getting pretty close to crashing or is the adrenalin still kicking in?

We've both known that the Aussie dollar is pretty sick against the greenback bit Sh@#t!!!! Has it dropped that much?

Have you seen your new acquisitions yet, I'm sure the long but patient wait has been worth it!

Crikey, Brian!! I had no idea you were such a slave driver. I've just gotta cancel that flight to Vancouver!

I can't comment on your payment, Sheena. Brian is totally in charge of the financial aspects of our releases. My job is to try and fluff as few chords as possible.... that's all!

So far I've seen the 350, Ron. It desperately needs a full setup (it has a neck underbow) and new strings. It looks great, however!!

I'm going to Paul's office today so I guess I'll see the others there.

We did a bit of impromptu 12 string jamming last night.... good fun!

I can't help it if I'm a chick magnet, Greg.... even if they are married with kids!!

Once again: your manager doesn't need no payment!!!! Moreover, she won't take any payment even if offered. And he who suggested that the manager's gonna be paid for the job will probably be punished. He'll probably have to listen to the manager (eh) play guitar and (double eh) sing. Heh-hen.Image
How about some pics, BTW?

Pics will be upcoming, Sheena. I've just got to work out the best way to do it on Photobucket. I don't want to clutter up the forum with Aitch's "happy snaps"!

Oh, come on! It's always nice to see happy people! Image

Oops ducking for cover. Sheena, we accept.

With respect to the additional personnel suggested by you, we have to be aware of the potential for serious union issues. Currently our drummer is a Japanese drum machine (no union issues there). He keeps perfect time and we won't have to endure any jokes or rants that are in poor taste. Our bass player is a bit of a hack, but he's really a great guy. Really. The biggest problem there is he also plays lead. Potential union issues there I can tell you. If we use players from Russia there may be jurisdiction issues not to mention language barriers etc. Can you imagine? Aitch and I have enough problems conversing in English and Australian. BTW on second thoughts, can they sing?

Anyway, we will leave those decisions up to you. PS. Don't forget to call Yoko.

Aitch don't forget that you also have interviews with the local media on Day 1. The TV station said they could be set up by 5:30AM and the radio event is scheduled for 6:00 AM. The newspaper will be there by 6:15 AM.

Why are you calling me a slave driver? I don't understand. Just wait until Sheena gets into gear. Then you'll find out what a slave driver is all about.

Well, let's hope there are no delays with all of that, Brian. Don't forget that the Good Morning Australia crew will be arriving at 8.30am for breakfast. I've ordered the meat pies and beer for the camera men.... that's their standard breakfast fare. The sound crew want champagne and caviar. Fussy buggers!!

Glad to see you've arrived in this hemisphere safely Howard. Now the party begins, eh?

There's those Flaming Tasmanian Buffalo wings mentioned again!! Damn that is a frightening prospect!

Have fun! See you soon (if Brian doesn't run you into oblivion before you get here!).
