<sniff, sniff> nope, still can't quite smell the paint fumes, yet.

That was Ben..He makes the schedule. Don't know if any of 'em are yours, but there's a boatload of 360/12's going through paint right now, and I CAN smell the fumes.
Your choice whether to take that seriously or not.
You try and throw someone a bone, and it's never quite enough..*sigh*

Aww Eric, don't take it so hard. You know how it goes...you get your hopes up....and then well....it doesn't quite turn out the way you thought. That's life. Qué será, será and all that. (Oh, and try to get some fresh air once in a while.

Meh....we'll see. I fear I've already made something of an *** of myself on this thread already.

I don't think so Jim.
Anyone who has followed your 'quest' on this forum will well know that you have never once been in the least bit bitter about your situation.
Most people would have lost the plot by now, but I've always found the attitude that you display in your posts on the subject very refreshing, as you've just always been so positive about the whole thing, mainly focusing on great day when you take delivery of your little 12 string beauty, and I hope that day is very soon.
Yeah, you've had disappointments, but you've never once vented any frustration directly at anyone from Rickenbacker. I think the tone of your earlier post was misunderstood by Eric. It's sometimes difficult to read the real tone of some posts, and it's understandable that some people from the company feel like they are on the defensive, especially over the issue of the back orders, that must be a massive monkey on their back.
It's great that employees from the company drop into this forum to keep us up to date with different things. Long may it continue.

Hey JimK
Refresh our memories here ---- I know its been almost/about two years in waiting, on your 360-12FG order. Have you gotten any semblance of a delivery time-line narrowed down from your dealer ??
Hang in there, buddy !

On April 9, it will be 23 months to the day. No definite word, yet. There is a rumor however, that RIC are painting a bunch of 360/12s right now. Mine could be in that batch....or not. Last time I got my hopes up, I wasn't in the queue.
In all honesty, I'd like to see this thread pass into the dark recesses of the RRF archives somewhere.

I have a new guitar student starting lessons a week from Tuesday. After we found a mutually agreeable time for his lesson, he asked if he should bring his amp. ("Oh boy!" I thought, "my first guitar student who plays electric. Good thing he's a beginner.") I said that there were plenty of amps hanging around at the academy, he would be welcome to use one of those. As I hung up the phone I had a second thought "It would be so cool if I could show him my Rick!" Probably won't happen like that.

I think that's exactly what will happen, but it may take a few more weeks while the paint dries...

Jim, just remember what the doctor told the mother when she called and said Junior had swallowed a penny, a marble, and a stone - "All things will pass."

In some ways , I will be sad the day this thread ends. You've been a great sport Jim, and I for one appreciate your sharing your journey here with us. (or odyssey,as it were ). It wasn't until this thread that the astonishing fact that you didn't own a Rick came to light. Seeing your posts and intelligent comments, I figured you were one of those guys with 30 or 40 Ricks stashed away. I have a sense yours is coming real soon. Don't forget to let me know, as I will have to pay-up on our little wager
