Very nice 620 Rick!
The jetglo white trim ones are my favorite...
So how does it play and sound??

The Hi Gains on this one have a nice level of out put to them and can handle some distortion and down right rock playing. My 660 with the VP's has a thinner more chimmy sound, as a VP should. They are definitely different sounding guitar. With the narrow neck the 620 also also plays faster. With the wider neck I like the 660 for pick'in and the 620 for barre cord rock'in.
I feel that the 620's at around 1000 bucks used are an overlooked Rick bargin compared to the hollow bodies. If I could I'd have one in every color. Someday I hope to use PW's services to retro this gal to a "V79" with a toaster top cover conversion to the high gains, vintage TRC and tuners so she looks like this 1979 620 JG guitar in the register:

I like the Jetglo with white trim look on a 620. It also looks good on a 610:

She
loves the 620 model...when I said we should take her picture with a Rickenbacker for her project she said "Oh I want the one with the CRESTED WAVE!"
She can strum pretty well. She just needs to learn a few chords and we are good to go

You haven't lost a guitar, you've gained a tiny little accompanist.
What a cutie!

Your 1965 615 came with Van Ghent tuners?
There is one just like that on ebay right now that has the same - the Jackplate is gone though. Is that the same guitar as yours?
With the jackplate gone I am guessing they dated the guitar from the pots...
