I was wearing my belt buckle on the side back in the '70s. A good idea, but not a new one!

Thanks Joey. Actually, I was at SCARF last year but I didn't bring my Ricks with me. This year those babies are coming along! And I'll bring a few extra guitar stands in case someone needs them.

BTW we tried to get John York (former Byrd ) to stop by and play a couple of songs with us but apparently he is out of town that night. He plays at The Coffee Gallery Backstage quite often (and occasionally with Barry McGuire).

Pat -- My mom and I were wanting something to do on Thursday night...looks like we got it! Thanks! Also, are any members of The Byrds Collective going to hang out at SCARF this year? I really liked Mark with his vintage 370/12. Like that cute waitress, Mark, too, thought Gary's McGuinn was my guitar.

Gary -- I had a feeling you were trying to help Scotty by pulling my leg out of it's socket. Don't do it again! Looks like Townshend, McGuinn and fireglo Petty are coming to SCARF...It's actually a funny thing that I'm finally going to get to pose with the TP FG, I was growing my hair out to look like Tom Petty's. It got too long, though and I had to cut it off, now it looks like George Harrison's from February '64.

Here's a picture of my Tom Petty hairstyle last February next to a picture of TP from the Damn the Torpedoes era. There was a "distraction" in the picture of me (Paulie, Collin and Joey know what those "distractions" are!), but man, Gary, if only you had the FG TP when it was taken!

Thanks, Pat. We heard there's some guys there who play some Tom Petty and Beatles numbers ....
I'll let you know how our calendar works out that week. Right now we are up to the gills, with a home remodeling project going on... so its a little hard to say how complicated each week will be.

I thought they sounded much better than the Byrds on some of the tracks I've heard-live video, so it wasn't just a "wow" while watching the band perception; impressive vocals and playing! No, I'm not kidding.
