Yours looks brilliant, John! The F-hole finishes it off beautifully.
I reckon a Monty Brown 350v63 with F-hole, gold TRC and guards, tuners, trapeze, toasters AND a maple neck would would look sensational!!

One can only wonder why... it looks great to me. F-holes are cool. What I want is a MG 350v63 with f-hole and bigsby. Tell me THAT wouldn't sell a ton!

It was the ebony fretboard that seemed to be the problem. he said something along the lines of "When ebony warps, it REALLY warps".

The 350v59 on the left has the pickups spaced closer together than the 350v63 on the right.
If I were to get a 350v63 I'd want to put a bigsby on it. Has anyone done this? Is there a problem with tail-to-bridge space when putting a bigsby on a 350v63? .... and why is the PU spacing so different to begin with?... I guess it has to do with the 3/4 scale of the '59er, but if you look at the 350SH you'll see the pickups closer together like the '59er.

The spacing is different because the 350SH has 24 frets and the 350v63 only has 21.
Compare a modern 24-fret 370 to a 21-fret McGuinn model to see a similar difference.

Sorry if I'm being dense here .... but....
the 350v58 has 21 frets but the pickup spacing is close together.
Why does the 21 fret 350v63 have larger PU spacing?

No a 325V59 and a 325C58 that is pictured. I missed that Kent labeled it a 350V58. I was assuming a 325C58.

I suspect that the real reason a modern 350 has wide pickup spacing is to create a wider variety of sounds, not because of the number of frets. Notice that the 325 has close spacing with 21 frets, and an older 21-fret 360 has wide spacing with the same number.

yup 325C58, my mistake .... Yes, Daniel, I suspect you're correct on that one... makes sense.
Anyways.... I'm on the verge of ordering a MG 350v63. I'll probably modify it later with gold plastic and a Bigsby if that is possible.

As I posted above The 350V63 has a "longer scale". The 350 scale is 24.75" and the 325 is 20.75". Even thought they both have 21 frets the 350 has more room between the end of the neck and the bridge.
