Isn't the 75th Anniversary represented by diamonds? Silver is for a 25th Anniversary.

Someone got it exactly right. All the pieces to the puzzle have been there for quite awhile.

Do you want to try and buy a diamond encrusted Rick?

Is there any chance that any of these guitars will make across the pond to the UK? Can you order one or how are they being distributed?

BTW, I'm still convinced its...

75 of silver 360
75 of silver 360/12
75 of silver 620 or 650
75 of silver 4003

with anniversary TRC.

Could even look blonde (ish) under stage lights!

Remember it was also said the new color was an accidental discovery of a standard finish. One of the reasons I suggested silver-flecked JetGlo. Making it a 3D effect into the JetGlo would make it look like diamonds - for the 75th.

I assume the official announcement will not come before the big event. Is that correct?

On July 24, Mr. Hall posted three times. The first time, he said that someone is almost exactly right. He then said that there would be no new models. The third time, he said that someone was "EXACTLY correct". The only intervening discussion about colours (between Mr. Hall's second and third post) had come from Beefandbones who suggested black over silver. That must be it.

Black over silver . . . would be black. What would be the point?

Unless it was applied like Melibee suggested, in a burst. Or, like Mark Sanders suggests (a translucent black). Mark's post appeared just before Ethan's:

"Four models are likely and that it will be limited to 75 of each. John's cat is called Smokey Joe - what colour is a cat called Smokey if not a grey/silver. I'll go for translucent jetglo burst with some sweet anniversary details."

Would black over silver not give a metallic finish, like red over silver (ruby) or blue over silver (midnight blue)?

Not if the black was opaque and applied in a two step process.
