"Wooden Heart"? It was "Jacky and his Strangers" and not "Jacky and his Jordanaires"
Spelter was, like The Beatles were, a Rock`n`Roller.
'Die Not hat ein Ende. Die Zeiten der Dorfmusik sind vorbei'
Well, history has certainly shown these silly reporters with their "non music" comments to be the fools they were.
ps: guess what happened the day after this report?

The Beatles Gear book says that there are several pictures of George playing his Australian made Maton guitar. I have never seen any, so I did a quick search and found a couple. He looks pretty happy with it in one of them!

And more recently, the guitars have been made famous by the children's show, "The Wiggles," with each character having a guitar that color-matches his shirt: http://wiggles.wikia.com/wiki/Maton_Guitar/Gallery

... all Maton all the time.... very cool
that is.....
until you see what they are all about.... kinda like the Barney the Dinosaur of muzak
I have viewed the documentary Good Ol' Freda....It's a great view. Very poignant. there's not a lot of new information in this film, however, it was fantastic to hear a first hand account from a woman who worked for/with The Beatles the entirety of their career together.
I expect it will be out on dvd, and I will be picking it up.
