Really enjoying the tonal capabilities of V63 lately. I'm really glad I took the 'shoes off. I absolutly love the way they look, but they sit right in my sweetspot to play. If anyones on the fence about trying this, I encourage you to give it a try. Its not that difficult to do, and actually it would be even easier to reverse.

Im thinking about adding a plexi thumbrest 'ala Pickguardian, what do you guys and gals think?

I would probably order a replica guard pre-drilled for the thumbrest.

I dig the finger rest and actually do use it on a few songs! Plus, it looks killer.

You may want to drill the finger rest holes yourself to make sure you don't end up screwing into the pickup lead from the toaster. I did my own, Tony just made the PG with my V63 in his possesion for a couple days to get it just right.

Go for the PG, it just looks so right!

Scott and John,

Those are super nice basses! I think I'm starting to prefer mapleglo's to all others.
Sorry Jim! Image

I really need to check out a 4004!

That's ok Kevin, at some point you can send the Fireglo's this way.

Wait a minute, I know that guy!

Welcome back Brian. Good to see your mug again.

Still flying them 4004's I see. A 5er? They say once you go there, you don't come back.

Cool color, is she a RIC or a Rath?
I'm just happy to be here.
