I'm sorry to hear the Genz-Benz was disappointing to play through, I have a GB 100 watt combo that I love. It has taken some time to find the right setting, but once I found the sound I liked this combo cooks. I have never played a GB big rig, but I would like too. My big rig is a Hartke 3500 head with a 410xl and a 15 bottom

I didn't mind the bass rig so much. The head & cabinet go for about $2500 on Musician's Friend. I think my rig, which cost about 1/3 of that is much better.

The guitar players in my band hated the Genz Benz gear. Neither of them use distortion very much (one at all) and there was not a clean tone to be had on those amps.

First time out with my first 4004. At this point the bass had already been wired for stereo and was only running the bridge pickup with a mono cable through an old Acoustic amp. It still sounded better than the Fenders, Music Mans and Warwicks that were there that night.

A guitar player was playing throught the MusicMan. I was playing through an Acoustic 370.

I have a '71 Schwinn MantaRay that's the exact same color. I think they'd make a good spread for next years Rickenbacker calendar.

Guess I should have read your post more carefully. Those Music Man guitar amps are nice... when they're not on fire.
