Brian and Howard would Rickenbacker do something
like that order a 350V63 with a Humbucker in the
bridge with a hi-gain in the neck and a toaster
in the middle. Is that something that Rickenbacker would do or would you have to do
the mod yourself. Now with the controls how
would you wire the guitar.

Oooo... did not know that, me bad. From the comments here, it looks like it could be a good thing. I can see that the Hum/HiGain combo would be better than the Hum/Toaster. If I had a "spare" Rick I might try it.

The kind of mods you would like are best done by yourself or perhaps if you prefer a guitar tech that knows how to work on Rickenbacker guitars. My wiring is stock and it works well. I really like the blend knob it lets me dial in the tone that I like.

Great pair of guitars. Unfortunately I couln't find any pictures of her stomp box. But I digress.

I'm no guitar tech, but I wonder how the 5-position switch combined with the blend knob would work.... probably pretty well. I've always like the instant variety of tone that you get with those switches. Aint hard to see that 5 is better than 3. 10 would be silly... or would it?

Does anyone have info or a schematic on how that would be wired?

No, technically a 5-way switch does not not slide. But a 5-way does and therein lies the heart of the matter

I wonder why more guitars haven't gone to the 5-way switch. The 3-way seems so limiting after you've gotten used to a 5-way. (and no, that one wasn't a metaphor)

Sometimes it's hard to tell whether a guitar comes with a 5-way switch or not. But for The Beatles I think we can safely assume it did.

How about that humor thing on stage. That might make a good topic of dicsussion as I'm sure there are tricks of the trade that people could share.

I guess just the ability to smile at the audience is a starter. In photos of me playing alot of times I look like bummed out and I'm not having any fun at all, but really the opposie is true... its just me concentrating or groovin with the tune.

Today I'm having my 350V63 setup and
I will try D'Addario 10-46. I've been
using Rickenbacker string for a couple
of years and I want to see if there is
a difference between D'Addario and Rickenbacker
strings.
