Cool, look forward to seeing it! I'm sure it will be spectacular.

Hmm! A 4003 LS. Steady Brian, Steady!jingle_jangle wrote:I'm half-done with a 4003 LS right now, Brian. The pickup idea is the same way I'm heading...two pickups, with the setup closer to a 4004 or 4005--two identical housings, whether they be toasters, hi-gains, or humbuckers. The big honking bridge rout will be filled.

Well, I meant me, but it appears it applies to you too.

Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Here's the 370/12 CB completed. It shipped out today...

The CV had finished shrinking, so I disassembled the guitar this morning, and sanded and buffed it once more to recover the maximum gloss. It should retain a glass-like surface for years to come.
This one is strung with a set of T-I 12 flatties. These are the specials sold by Chris Clayton at Pick of the Ricks. I ordered them on a Saturday and received them on the following Tuesday. That's service! Thanks, Chris!
These are nice, chimey strings. They do a great job of getting that vintage sound through my tube VOX.

This is a weird shot. I can either get the guitar in focus or the reflections. This one gives you an idea how glossy it really is...that's part of my shop in the background...

WOW! That is just gorgeous, Paul. I'd be scared to touch her in case I left a fingerprint.

What an absolutely gorgeous burst.
What's CB? Checkerboard?
Do you make custom TRC's for guitars that you refinish?
Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Just stunning....what a gorgeous burst!
Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Simply Beautiful.
Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Very, very nice. You have a true gift Paul.
A 4001 or 4003 with CB binding, chrome, Black guard and TRC would look very nice with that finish. A 4004 CII would be breathtaking as well.

Nope. I can do a TRC exchange through RIC (this one has one of those), but the only guitars that I'm permitted to make TRCs for are the Rick acoustics that I build.dpowell wrote: Do you make custom TRC's for guitars that you refinish?
Thanks for the good vibes, everyone!

I always thought that CB on a double-bound Rick would be overkill, but I was wrong - the effect is more subtle than I thought it'd be. The burst is gorgeous, PW - similar to the one you did on Graham's 375F?
