This song was recorded by:
Roy Orbison;
Cher;
Heart;
Jim Capaldi;
Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris;
Robin Gibb;
and a few others.
But it only became a hit when a hard rock band that changed the lyrics slightly recorded and released it in 1975.
Name the song, the band and tell us what lyrics were changed.
Love Hurts by Nazereth?
the original line "love is like a stove/it burns you when it's hot" was changed to "love is like a flame/it burns you when it's hot".

Well done Rick, that was a tough one to figure out. You basically had to figure out the song title first. The rest of the puzzle I am sure was easy after you did that.
Scott will get a kick out that question and answer set. His family knows the lads from Nazareth.
Evan, the Geelong Cats are the best AFL team and one of the oldest clubs in Australia. They had the best player to ever play the game on their side............Gary Ablet. Even if you cheer for another side you have to respect that mans abilities. As you can see Aitch and his son Pat converted me into being a fan when I visited them last November.
Now who was it you cheer for?

Coming from ooop North, I follow Rugby League, that wonderous international game (played in Sydney, Brisbane, Aukland
and parts of Yorkshire and Lancashire) played by real men and masochists. AwFuL just doesn't get a look in in my household, though my Father-in-Law is partial to the Sydney Swanks (alas!). Some of us from up here believe that AwFul is the demon spawn of a cursed union between Gaelic Football and interpretive dance.
My dirty secret is that I follow the traditionally most-hated-team in the history of Australian sport - the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles (currently, but probably only briefly, leading the competition). They manage to tread the fine line between being considered "silvertails" (a term to google if ever there was one) and bankrupt. There is nothing quite like the thrill of a Sunday afternoon at Brookvale Oval, watching grown men beat each other senseless with an inflated piece of pig in the driving rain...

Hi Scotty,
Still early here, but time for my 5:00pm jog and dog-walk. Tough questions will have to wait 30 minutes!
A big good morning to you!

I'm back for a moment. and I believe the answers are:
1. The Rolling Stones
2. "Fine" - end, finish
Wow - three posts in a row - is that a record?

You need to open your mind and broaden your horizons, Evan...... League is played in Melbourne also!
I've been a League fan from the early 70s (Roosters) and of course I'm a Storm supporter...... PLEASE don't mention our latest results on both counts!!!
However, I'm still a bit baffled as to why a bunch of blokes endlessly try to jam their heads up other blokes' bums in order to win possession of the ball when the result is a no brainer!
At least the Union guys have a chance of turning it over..........
Next time I'm in Sydney (which might only be a week or two away) we must get together and discuss the merits of all codes over a few jars and a meal. Oh..... and maybe Ricks too!

I'll only mention the Roosters then, it's the one that made me smile!
Hope to see you up here!

Ah......
another Rooster hater, eh? I don't mind the Sea Eagles........ it's the Sharks and Bulldogs I hate. Probably the Sharks more so!

Not a Rooster hater, they were just playing Manly at Brookvale...
Ah, beautiful Parramatta by the river - Sydney's answer to Florence!
I'm near Hornsby, which is but a brief 20 minute drive from the glories of the Cumberland Plain!
