The entire effect, minus the loss of my Original '72 pickups (loved my Toaster!), has been to bring This Rick into it's Prime!
It's the Quitest, most Reliable and Most Ballsie this Rick has ever been!
The Install, was the most Anti-Climatic change over, Electronically, I've ever experienced!
No Noise, No Buzz, No Glitches of any kind!
Now Tonally though, It Hit Right in The G-Spot!, Right from The Get-Go!
I had an Alembic Persuader for about Fifteen Years, that was so Reliable and Spot On Perfomance wise, that my '72 had a luxurious Ride, of Ease and Leasure!
I played it plenty, but it took no hard knocks, that's for sure!
So when it came time to move to something else, my Moog Taurus III Bass Pedals to be exact. It finally came down to selling the Alembic!
So, I absolutely needed my '72 Rick to become as Reliable and Rock Solid as my Alembic had always been.
My Rick, was Routed for Battery Access, for an Alembic Pre-Amp System, by the original owner, so Full Value was never attainable for my Rick. Good Thing!
But, sence it was already, reduced, to nothing but a Players Bass status, by anyone here!
I simply made it The Ultimate '72 Rick 4001 Players Bass!
And that truely is the Answer to Your Question!
Flat Out Amazing Alembic Pickup and Dual-Filter Electronics System!
It absolutely matches the Mystique and Awesome Experience of getting to Play a 1972 Rick 4001!
I do actually think about going back to a Complete Modern Stock Rickenbacker Pickup and Electronics System!
I'm certain it would be Amazing to look down on a New Toaster Hi-Gain and Standard Bridge Hi-Gain Pair of Rickenbacker Pickups
with the New Vintage Modern Push/Pull Pot Electronics, that are in my 2006 JetGlo 4003!
My '06 JetGlo is one very good reason that I still think of that idea, often!
It has been awesome!
The only glitch I've experienced was when Setting up to perform my last "ICE 9 -Joe Satriani Tribute" show, my Ampeg B15-R 2-15 Stack was
cranked up hard for Volume, and my '06 JetGlo was Noisy as I've ever herd a Rick be!
Now that being said! That was durring sound check and it was insufferable, could not correct it for anything!
But, while performing it was, Of Course, un-noticeable!
My Alembic System has no issues like that what so ever! It Loves Volume!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Add two Q switches for even more amazing tonal variety.72rick wrote:Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: show your custom bass!!!
Hi Garret, your '72 4001 finger board does not look shiny, rather bare wood?

Re: show your custom bass!!!
Doesn't count unless it's a real bass Mario. If it were real, it would weigh a ton with all that extra real estate between the necks. Back to Photoshop with you
