The only reason I brought up the modded white guitars in this thread was that the original discussion about the (near complete absence of) new RIC product at the NAMM show was, for me at least, incredibly boring. A number of people had expressed their disappointment that the comments made by John Hall alluding to new f-hole product before the show did not translate into physical guitars on display at the show. In that context, I think a discussion around the lack of reissue or new-design f-holes is actually directly relevant and something that quite a few people would want to have. The modded white guitars illustrate just how quick and easy it would be for the factory to do something similar.

Absolutely agree with Eddie, personally, I thought maybe just maybe that RIC would re-introduced the Rose Morris series into production, something collectors around the world have been crying out for...the 350MC or whatever it is doesn't do anything for me personally.

BTW lovely pair of 1993's ..

One could say the same about your dozen look-at-what-I-did-refin-look-at-me-!!! posts, eh

I prefer slash- over f-hole. Still, the white limited run is a nice item as is.
Grow up Werner, if you were a true Rick enthusiast you wouldn’t be sniping at Eddies postings. He just got fed up waiting for Rick to do the right thing and did it himself...I for one really enjoy reading his posts and have learnt a lot from the info, pics and musings on his projects.

The official Rick forum is moribund now and will probably remain that way so you should appreciate Eddies projects on this forum when you see them not try to rubbish them.

It's called the 350JHT, and it's not for sale.

Never.

Ever.

You only wish!

("JHT" stands for John Hall Tantalizer.)

We love you and your company anyway, John.

I don't recall seeing f-hole DCM's....were there secret one-offs made with incorrectly shaped f-holes (maybe displayed only in the private booth at that year's NAMM show to selected VIP's)?

Every year the NAMM thread comes along, and every year it gets ugly.

Carry on.

You're referring to the 1993LOL models with the optional scatterwound Trollbuckers?

Well done Rob, I reckon you are just about IBTL

I think this is the first NAMM thread I've commented on, and it's been a whole lot of fun so far (at least for me).

I'm already looking forward to next year's NAMM thread and I have a whole year to think up and execute new projects so there's actually something to discuss (as I assume there will again be no new RIC product to talk about given John Hall's video comments).

By the way, as everyone seems very interested in model naming conventions, I am officially designating my two 1993's as model 1993/12SPCED2013WY....snappy eh?

All this naming stuff is getting far too complicated.
Ric should get my wife to name them.
To her, its either 'the red one', 'the blue one' , 'the black one' ............ 8)

Darn it Dan, I only just dreamt up my model designation and I actually like yours better

So I hereby solemnly give notice of the withdrawal of the official model designation 1993/12SPCED2013WY and its immediate replacement with model 1993LOL ST.
