Paul: Thanks again for all the hard work and the loan of the 330. I saw that amp while looking for my keys. If I hadn't been distracted, I probably would have figured out a way to steal it.
If you ever sell it, give me dibs.

"You're going all Guitar Center on me."
"It's starting to sound like Guitar Center in here."

Conversastion overheard between Dan and my bandmate Jayme:
D: I'm in a band with Alex from Alex's Bar called "Los Mysteriosos". We played at Fitzgerald's last night.
J: Fitzgerald's, next to where Savers was in HB? Is that place still a skinhead bar?
D: I hope not; we sing all of our songs in Spanish...

That is true (although the Fitzgerald's gig was last weekend).

Jayme and I realized that he used to play in a band with Alex called Tijuana Knife Fight that I have seen at Alex's a few times. Small world.

I'm not sure if they ever played at Fitzgerald's or not, they do have a band booked this weekend called the Velvet Matadors so they seem to be "Spanish Friendly" these days.

Gee, with band names like Tijuana Knife Fight and the Velvet Matadors ----- those bands seem to be at opposite ends of the Macho spectrum !!

Refer to Gary's pictures batches 10-11-12

Gotta say that Collin's Light Show looks really cool 8) 8) 8) there for the Eight Miles High extended jam, where several of us joined in with the Byrds Collective. Total of seven Rickenbackers on the song... Pat H. (Byrds Collective) with the MG 4001 Bass hidden on stage left; Skip on the 330-12 FG, Dave from Byrds Collective with the 360-12 FG on stage left; Rich in center with 360-12 behind Ken with tambourine from Byrds Collective, Mark M. of Byrds Collective with the MG 370-12 in the middle, Collin with the Light Show and Steve F. with the C63-12 FG on stage right.

Thank you!
At the end, I did see additional videos-apparently from the pre-MiniCon jam. I checked a couple out.

What were you shooting with?
I went to youtube, and the video quality was excellent.
Thanks again.

The camera is a Kodak Zi8, which Marc got for me as a Christmas present. It takes really nice videos, and has its own software to upload them to YouTube, Facebook, and a couple of other video-sharing sites as well. It takes really decent still photos, too. The only drawback is that when you shoot videos it really drains the batteries. We only got through about half the confluence before the batteries died, so didn't catch my song or any of the Tom Petty and rock jams from the second half.

Sounds like a spare battery might be in your future. Great video to go with Gary 7& Rich's pics.
