Although I was very aware of the Beatles as a youngster/early teen... the combination of my having a musical interest and my Beatles fanaticism finally solidified around late 76/early 77 when I saw a poster of McCartney holding that 4001 of his. Like Fireglo/Timothy said... if a C64S had existed back then, I'd've bought one of those instead of the '77 MG4001 I did buy.
But man, I'll tell you... I was one happy Rickenbacker owner the day I picked up (touched/felt/smelled) that bass.
