Jeff,
I think you can make it! That sounds like you'd have enough time for breakfast and hit the road without even having to rush.
Perhaps bringing just a very select two or three basses would ease the burden.

Alberto, nice collection, congrats on the two new Ricks.
I see the wood figure in your blue 5Cii is not camera shy like the figure in my trans red. It's a beauty, enjoy!

Thanks Joey! You know this pictures never do them justice, but you get a pretty good idea of the finish anyway. The 4004 series are a joy to play and I'm having a blast with them.
Have you experienced the low volume problem with the low B in the trans red?

On my 2020-5 that has the same pickups I set it up with a 2 1/2" spacing at the bridge and I had a problem with the G string dropping off ... the B string seemed to be thick enough to be sensed by the pickup ... I changed to a 2 3/8" bridge spacing and it works fine ... nice and loud on all of the strings ...

Alberto, the ABM bridge that RIC uses on the 5Cii allows you to change the string spacing. Loosen the B string and turn the roller saddle that the string is set in so it moves more towards the center. Bring the string up to pitch, then see how it sounds. You should then even out the rest of the string spacing by making a roller adjustment to the rest of the strings. It's not difficult and shouldn't take too long to do.

I haven't noticed it yet on my Laredo...and it might not become an issue with the heavier mass of a bass string, but...
My 650 Dakota has those roller saddles too, and it seems that the position can "wander" over the course of playing. You also have to be careful stringing up the guitar, as my "tech" (the other guitarist) once missed a saddle completely when he changed strings for me. I've also knocked the high E off the roller once, presumeable bending the ******* out of a note.
Wonder if anyone else with this type of bridge has noticed such issues?

Steve's 4 string basses get nervous when they are in my workshop ... they think they will end up with a low B ...

...maybe one of Steve's basses would like that.

One of Steve's already HAS a low B, it's a Hamer Cruisebass 5-string.
The Rick on the way....well, it WOULD be the first 5-string BBR, but I think I'll keep it as God intended.
