Dane had a close relationship wth the southernmost Pole on the planet.

Some call it "The Bottom of The World"...but we preferred to refer to it as "The World's Bottom"...

"It's the end of the world as we know it......"

..was doing some work on a late '60's short pole toaster and thought it would be useful to disassemble and post some pics on this old thread for future reference...

BTW, with this post surely I must be winning tonight's award for breathing life into the most moribund forum thread...

Glad you like the pictures. I thought they were worth adding as I couldn't find anything similar on other vintage toaster threads when I was doing my research.

I'm really curious,how do you remove the magnets without screwing up the pickup? What's currently holding them in? Glue,wax?
