..was doing some work on a late '60's short pole toaster and thought it would be useful to disassemble and post some pics on this old thread for future reference...

BTW, with this post surely I must be winning tonight's award for breathing life into the most moribund forum thread... :D

Glad you like the pictures. I thought they were worth adding as I couldn't find anything similar on other vintage toaster threads when I was doing my research.

I'm really curious,how do you remove the magnets without screwing up the pickup? What's currently holding them in? Glue,wax?
