Brian, sorry it didn't work out--but hopefully he'll have something else come through for you soon. Also thanks for the kind words. Gary impressed me as a total class act during this process--I intend to give him some more business as soon as I'm able.

Gary IS a total class act...I don't blame him at all. That's why I want to do business with him. I'd rather give my money to NCM (and by extention, should anyone miss the point, to RIC) than to eBay and the speculators or to places like Guitar Center or (bless their pointed little hearts) Musician's Friend. But this "distribution system" seems to make that very difficult. Somehow I have this picture of all these guitars flying off to Japan just because....and it bothers me.

I know Mr. Hall has not been posting here these days, and gosh knows I do NOT want to deter him, but WTF? Do I cancel my order and just see what the market will bear, or do I hang in there, because RIC cares about their customers, and wants their repeat business?

Jerry, I have purchased several guitars from Gary and I have 3 on order. He has been great to work with.

Hang in there Jerry! I guarantee you'll be glad you did.

Thanks,Brian. You're right...I'll be a happy camper in the end. The excitement of opening the case, the "new Ric" smell....that sound, that feel....ahhh...

Sorry gang, just get anxious.

If it's any consolation the 325C64 torrent is about to subside in favor of 360/12C63's.

The five year quote struck me as odd, but then again that was a lefty model and international order so extrapolating that to other models would be a mistake.

No worries Jerry! The good thing is that once you get your guitar, you probably won't be too worried about what strap to use. At least not at first.
