Very nice Scott. That combo is really catching on.
After I saw Paul's I ordered the same thing from Pickguardian yesterday. I also included the vintage gold pickup plate, and clear cover for my monty. Should I also get the vintage knobs?
How do the standard knobs look with it?

Thanks Bob,
The regular knobs look great, too. I just thought if I'm going with the vintage guard, I'd get the vintage knobs. Now, horseshoe pickup or suround would complete the look!!!!!

Looks great Scott! Were you man enough to drill a hole and really screw down the new mounting position near the pickup surround? Image

The vintage knobs are a requirement to complete the package! As to the horseshoe surround, were you thinking of something like this? :

Jeffrey,
Yes, I did break down and drill out the hole. I don't plan to ever change back to the white pickguard so, I went through with it. Yes, that surround is what I was thinking about!!!

I thought I might make it look all new and shiny by reshaping it somewhat and replating it, you know these one of a kind '60s horseshoe surrounds are IMPOSSIBLE to find and no one really wants them anyway! Image

There was some discussion last week on Signature guards and oven knobs. The signature on the guards is a precision cut vinyl transfer. I can custom drill any of my Rick guards to accommodate oven knobs.

Just got my pickguard back from Tony at Pickguardian. Like Paul, I also went with the Signature guard. My handwriting sucks, but I'm still very pleased especially with the vintage gold pickup plate and clear guard. ImageImageImage

Got to admit - gold looks great on Monty Brown - especially with the vintage knobs.

How's the pickup plate? I was thinking about one of those.

That bridge pickup mount plate seems like a good idea, but if I had that on my Ricks, I'd have nowhere to anchor my thumb.
