" There's a fireglo 4003S at http://www.paulsboutique.ca here in Toronto. A few nicks and bumps, but still in pretty good shape."
I'm happy to report that this bass has just emigrated to Sunny Scotland and has sparked a Rush revival in it's new home (much to the dismay of She Who Must Be Obeyed...Heh Heh!!).
A few tweaks and some spit and polish and she'll be fine (the bass, not the wife).

Congrats! And welcome to the forum. Nothing wrong with Rush.
I'm a huge fan. (Actually I'm not that big but you understand what I meant.

Jon,
Welcome to the forum mate and congratulations on your new arrival. I've cut a deal with my wife....I'm attending Salsa dancing classes with her and she's taking bass lessons from me, using the 1973 4000 Jetglo. I figure that if we both improve, not only will I get over my dance-floor phobia, but I just might be able to convince her that she needs her own Rick bass!

I beleive that here in the UK $2300.00 is about the list price for a standard 4003.
So to us I guess it seems a fair price for a mint V63.
( I'm only saying this in case I decide to sell my proto V63 one day...)

Nothing wrong with Rush.
When I pointed out that the alternative would be Motorhead (the first band I ever saw back in 1981 as it happens) she saw the light....
