I wonder how a BBR 660 would look with a nice satin silver guard? Not chromey--just a nice silver on a par with the gold...
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Hi Bill -- I shop at Jackson Music periodically, but I live in Rochester so it's not too often. I have purchased stuff from them (guitar, keyboard -- low end stuff). They can be very knowledgeable and are very low pressure. I like that. Their prices are competitive, too.
I find that they don't really know Ricks that well, or at least I haven't found their "resident expert". I imagine there is someone there who knows more than most about the Ricks.
I have had a few problems with Jackson, but they always make it right, so I keep going back. Great place!
By the way -- Welcome to the Forum! Did you get a shirt or mug yet?

No, no shirt or mug yet. I'd feel kind of funny without having an actual Ric in my house yet-almost like a voyeur. Ask me the same question in 5-8 months!
I too really liked the approach of the staff there. I had done a lot of research on what I wanted (and this forum helped a lot in that regard) so it was not big deal that they didn't have an in-house Ric expert. I knew what I wanted and why. I really liked their approach too-low pressure indeed. It's funny the things that can make a good store for you. The staff there set up my kids (ages 7 and 11) with some electronic drums to keep them occupied while I tried out different guitars. A small thing but something that really increased my own shopping pleasure as I was able to concentrate on what I was there for. I had a great time and the kids had a blast, something that will only contribute to their musical appetite for instruments!
I have to admit too, whenever, I see new postings on this thread, my heart jumps a beat as I'm hoping to see 3 dozen new pictures of Blueburst 360s. I've really liked the look of what I've seen so far on the other models but would love to see more detailed shots of the BBR on the 360. Have any arrived??????? Indeed, where are the bluebursts???!!!

Dan--I'm in Grand Marais, the tourism capital of the beautiful North Shore of Lake Superior.... I grew up in Duluth (Sorry to the rest of you for being off the subject!)....
Back on the Blueburst topic: Silver guards would look awesome on the 660 BBR! I normally love the gold guards, but it just doesn't quite look right with the Blueburst color.
