Oooh... sorry then...
By the way Christian (welcome), I looked closely on the pics on ebay... Is this the original color?
Also, if you have the serial number, it would be nice to know when it was made...

"uhhhhh, didnt Blackstars have checkerd binding?"
If you came to the Confluence, you could have compared a Blackstar and a Shadow (actually three Shadows!!!) side by side. Not to mention it's negative, the Tuxedo!

"... I am not the one that tortured this poor thing (...) somebody really abused it"
Hey Christian, welcome! It doesn't look like torture or abuse: someone actually played it and loved it - a lot.
Have you seen Jaco's Jazz bass?

or Clapton's "Blackie"?

Would you call that torture? or perhaps "mojo"...
I wish I could afford right now to buy your bass. I really like it. I hope it goes to a good home, where some lucky guy will continue to love it.

Emperor snagged it for $1,188.45. I suppose with a $500 restoration it will be worth it.

Jacos basses were tortured, he threw one into the ocean once and someone else rescued it, he broke another into a million pieces (his most famous one I believe, the first one he pulled the frets out of) and someone put it back together again. He was a manic-depressive I believe along with being a cocaine addict and had mucho problemos.
To turn a limited ed. Blackstar into a 5 string would be heresy. I can see a ROM jetglo 4003 but not a Blackstar which are pretty rare and very cool. I like them much better than Shadows, the black neck does it for me. I also like the Redstar and Whitestars. I would like to see some color coordinated necks from Ric as they paint them anyway.
