Where are the chicks with RICs?

Well, looks like I'm not making it back today. After I loaded my car and did a quick "walk around inspection" I found that one of my tires has a nice size sidewall bubble. I must have gotten it driving home last night from one of the 4 million potholes I hit on I-71....during one of the worst downpours that I have ever driven in. That's the downside of low-profile performance tires I guess.
Anyway I don't feel too comfortable that it will last another trip and I only have a mini-spare so I'm stuck at home.
Have a good time tonight and I'm glad that I finally got to meet you guys! BTW, just email me when the bill comes for the conference room and I'll send someone (Randy?) a check for my share.

BTW....Jared, the pics don't do it justice. Being able to play some/all of these basses was awesome....and meeting everyone was great

Great pictures, with a very cool assortment of basses from all the years. Good to see all the basses arrived safely and that the LK made it out the factory in time too!
Ted's 63 looks a little precarious sitting up high in the chair without support...

Looking forward to hearing who's the best player, which bass sounds most like Squire's, who's Mr Congeniality (nicest guy), etc. The more details, the better to experience this vicariously. Was there a multi bass jam? Did you play The Fish? Record any sounds?

I'm sorry, but who cares who is the best player???...it's a celebration of Rickenbacker owners sharing stories, showing each others instruments (ok, haha, get it out of your system) and getting to know each other. Each of whom has talked on this forum many times. Granted, there are quite a few rare basses there. I wish I were there, if anything to just meet some fellow forumites and to BS and oogle and probably play a 4005!!!! That in itself is worth the trip. Hopefully, if there's a confluence next year I'll be there. Ok, I'm off of my soapbox....

Jack. It is a fair question. What bassists at the confluence took the time to play a range of basses? I would love to hear their reports.

I played just about everything....I loved them all but my favorite as far as looks/playability was Ted's Blackstar. Jeff's V63 had great action and gave me new appreciation for flatwounds. I didn't hook up to the amps I was just checking for "the vibe". Paul's 4004 caught me off guard...I didn't expect it to play/feel as nice as it did....

Heck, I can't choose...they were all great !
