I know what you mean, Nate, I almost cried when I heard them start "Comfortably Numb" and then when Roger and Dave traded off vocals that was too cool. Great to hear them playing again!!
Floyd basically came on with no intro, which I thought was strange, just the intro from Dark Side, the intro to Breathe, and then right into Breathe, which I thought sounded really good. Then came Money, which I liked better than the way they have been doing it the last few years. Then a version of Wish You Were Here with Roger playing acoustic guitar and dedicating it with "This is very emotional for all of us, being together with these guys again, we'd like to dedicate this song to everyone who isn't here, and especially to Syd."
And then Comfortably Numb, with a somewhat nervous-sounding Roger saying "OK, here we go" as it started. But it was awesome. A few mistakes, maybe. But it was about more than that. They ended by getting together at the front of the stage and putting their arms around each other and waving goodbye to the crowd.

Jacob, it's refreshing to read bold truth. I also cry sometimes when listening to music.

Just caught a 2 hour show of highlights - they only showed "Wish You Were Here". On the strength of that, I hate to say it but in spite of the nostalgia and all that, seems to me Rog is past it vocally. However, I reserve the right to change my thoughts when I see the whole set and will gladly retract!!

Howard, Wish You Were Here was never Roger's song, vocally. I'm not sure why he decided to take a verse, but I wouldn't say it was bad - he sort of did it in his own style, instead of doing it in Dav'es style.

Talking of crying to music, I must play really well because most of my audience cry when I start playing (but cheer up again as soon as I stop)!!!!!

'Fraid I didn't like his style, John. However, it's simply an opinion. There were squillions of other viewers who I'm sure have theirs.

I don't have an audience, Peter, so I don't put them through the misery!!

Hey, Howard, Rog did a great job after ruining his voice from his inhuman screams. And you were right. Dave did play some lap steel stuff.

Fair enough, Nate. I'll have to keep a lookout for the whole set.

I got a little emotional when Roger mentioned “Sid” before they played “Wish you were here”.
Talk about loyalty……

Dave, I did too. It was so cool that they mentioned him.
I just downloaded the audio and video of their set, it sounded great to me, listening to and seeing it a second time!
