In a perverted kind of way, I sort of hope that my guitar comes closer to the 9 month wait period than the 6 month period quoted by the dealer. For the latter, that'd mean that it would get here around November, just as we're gearing up for XMas when there are lots of things to do. For the former, it'd land on my doorstep in February. Not sure what it's like elsewhere but up here in Canada, the worst stretch of the year is January-March - there are no holidays between New Years and Easter and it is depressing, cold and bitchy weather. By March, it seems that winter will never end. It's a real grind in a lot of ways and having my 360 land then would bring a welcome breath of fresh air. It would give me something to look forward to, a focus to get me through until the first days of spring, etc., etc. Ah, sitting back on a cold, 20 below winter day raging outside, no reason to go outside, curled up around a brand new Rickenbacker, learning the ins and outs of each other with no distractions!! The waiting may indeed be the hardest part, but if looked at in the proper light, such delicious foreplay can only make the consummation all the sweeter.

But then again, if it came in November, I wouldn't be complaining in the least! Think it might be easy to convince me that this would be a great Christmas present too! As you can see, I'm all about rationalizing things.....

That's funny Bill -- I was thinking exactly the same thing -- only in reverse. In Arizona, by this time every year (and on and on into August and September) even the swimming pools are too hot to swim in. So, this would be a PERFECT time for my 360/12C63 to show up on the doorstep from NCM. Inside, it's nice and cool with the a/c running, no reason to go outside, and strumming the Ricky would keep my mind off the heat.

I was REALLY hoping to not have to worry about it getting shipped in the frozen Michigan winter...

Thanks Steve, that's something I hadn't considered and now I'll be nervous about that. I'll have to get rationalizing about how THAT could possibly be a good thing!

That 48 hour wait when to open it when it gets there after being in a freezing truck....torture!!

Both mine were shipped in the dead of last winter--one from WI, the other from CO. The 48 hour wait was tough, but I have experienced no structural or finish problems as a result of soft acclimatization.

That's good to know Paul, but how did the guitars fare?

They are much less cracked and wrinkled than I am!

I'm hip...I wish my many acclimatizations could have been a bit softer...

According to the new RIC website, Pick of the Ricks has been sent a new 350C BBL. Wonder who got it? If it's anyone here... please post any pics!

I remember the agonizing wait to open the case on my Turquoise 325 after it was shipped to my house in -20 degree (that's Farenheit!) weather.... It was a very long 48 hours, but very worth it!

And yes, anyone who has a new Blueburst, please post lots of pics!

You're right, according to the website, he didn't. He mentioned it in passing when I asked him if he had heard anything about my bass.
