John,

I'll even go one further. I think the tone of an AC30 is so rich and complex that a built-in reverb usually only detracts rather than enhances. I did like the reverb in the AC30HW, but that's it. No other reverb has sounded good to me unless it was something added in the studio.

But is'nt the AC30HW a tube reverb?

Concur.....Again I speak of the CC2 with the Wharfdales (that really are pretty good) The basic AC30 circuit, albeit a few tubes short without the vib-trem channel (useless anyway) Has an absolutely wonderful range of tones that has to be experienced to be appreciated...

Wonder how wonderbar some Red Coats would be in them. I just put a Red Coat in one of my Cambridge amps.
