Yup just as I suspected a damn musician, with a great double neck too. Wow.

Thanks for sharing Dane.

I'm glad you posted the photo Dane. Once I begin to distribute the posters to half the teenage girls in America you have free reign to go after Paul and Tom Cruise. Do you have any photos of you in a red bathing suit with your nipples protruding?

Nice guitar! Image

Nipples? Simer, what kinda stuff you been inhaling?

Dane froze his nipples off eons ago.

Dane, thanks for reminding us what purity is all about...

Voh, etc., was what Rudy supposedly crooned through his cheerleader's megaphone. It was borrowed by that guy in the New Vaudeville Band for the tag in "Winchester Cathedral".

Boop, etc., was Betty Boop's signature line. It's been borrowed by Marilyn Monroe, who Monroe, LA was named after.

We depend on our 'elders' to keep us historically informed....

"You had to be there", eh, JJ?

Thanks Paul,

I was having a senior moment. That's two in two days. Both times you have bailed me out. LOL

Dane,

What year was the double neck made? It looks like it is in great shape.

It is in great shape...unfortunately (as some here already know), as of a couple months ago, it's not mine anymore...I bought it new in '77 (it's a Dec. '76) and kept it for 28 years...but 'time and the changing fortunes of war' dictated that something big and heavy had to go over the side, lest the tiny lifeboat be swamped. The good news is it went to a player...a guy in the Seattle area who plays in a Rush tribute band. I know it's a matter of record here, but just to be clear, there was no 'Rush' when I bought it...I was playing in a Genesis cover band, and couldn't play Cinema Show without it.

Of course, that was in a former life, as well...you can't blame me for keeping the photos, though. I'll have to get a nice one together with my '74 fretless for B. Simer's poster run...

No red bathing suits, though...not gonna go there...wouldn't be prudent...

I'd love to see the 74 Dane. Sorry to hear about the bathing suit though. I'm glad that the photo was from a former life. I was getting ready to submit your name to Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. They could get your yuppie corporate america look going for you!

Once again I'm in the position of having to clarify...the Genesis cover band was in a former life...the above photo is from three months ago, and as I've vowed not to cut my hair 'til there's World Peace, not much has changed. I'm sure the 'Queer Eye' boys think there's no such thing as a lost cause, but that's just because they haven't met me.

This isn't a very good shot (I'll have to get a better one of the fretless to post), but here are the kids before I had to send the twins to a foster home...Image

Hey Dane,

I used to have long hair until I realised that there was more on the shower floor every morning than on my head. Now I look like musician who used to be a Franciscan friar. You are lucky in that regard.

Those queer eye guys would get quite a kick out of trying to sort you out I'll bet. That would make for one hilarious show.

Love the family portrait. Too bad about the twins. I bet you miss them.

Standin' on the corner, suitcase in my hand...

Man, you know I really could use the money, too...but I don't require a makeover, and those guys are not touching my house interior, that's non-negotiable!
