I've a pleasant thought: Every few years Ric could accept orders for original construction instruments. Warts-n-all so to speak. Thin necks, real Horseshoes, original bridge units (no extra screws). Maybe a waiting list type of thing. Continue with the 4003 line + something for us purists. Just an idea. John, tell us what you think.

Sure....they are going to change their production, which is already maxed out, to whip us up a few different ones with different pickups, different bridges, etc. which they do not produce anymore? Not happening.
If you want vintage, buy vintage.
