Speaking of gins and tonics, they were the official drink at Club 90 South, the bar above the galley under the ol' geodesic dome at South Pole...it's all being dismantled now; the new station looks kind of like a business park off the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike.

Club 90 South had a long black light hung above the bar, which made the tonic fluoresce...Our 'icebox' behind the bar was a hole in the modular wall with a door on the inside.
