I just dug the uniqueness of the binding as far as collectability goes. Otherwise I'm on the hunt for a player V63 to spend my money on.

right, that binding was my first attraction, then the black on black thing. it's a beauty but it could stand being taken apart and having her bits cleaned. but that won't be done by me. i'm scared of such ventures.

Why? They are simple machines and very easy to work on. Move slowly and think about what you are doing and it will go fine. Think of it as bonding with your bass. Just be sure to lay soft cloth on the finish near where you are working to avoid dents from errant tools and hardware.

Lol.. what's wrong with you and tools? Were you swinging a hammer and had it slip out of your hand and hit someone in the head? Had a chainsaw go into your leg? (That happened to my dad.. lol.) Get your hair stuck in a drill?

Did anyone ever see that skit on Mad TV? A guy working on power tools and every thing that could possibly go wrong happened. I sear.. that was the funniest thing that ever aired on that show.

any time i have ever tried working on a car, household plumbing, anything...i've douched it up. no matter how patient i am it just doesn't work for me. i'm not a klutz in the least, but tools and i have a torrid history. i was pretty proud of myself when i replaced the toilet seat in my new apartment...seriously.

by the way, i brought the bass into my local shop so my buddy could see it. it drew quite a crowd and elicited some great compliments.

Plumbing always sucks for me - I leave it to the pros. Most other things I can do with some level of success. I've gotten pretty good at putting in hardwood floors over the last 2 years.
