Well, you got a relative good paintjob for free, what are you still complaining about then? ;)

are you serious about that stripping??
I know it isn't exactly what you want, but (to me) it looks rather okay.

Okay I'll shut up now. I'm the one complaining about yellowing fireglo.. :S

Damn Ken, dont you think stripping is a little drastic??

Its not MB, but is very nice looking and unique. Please reconsider.

Ken, Instead of stripping it, sell it. It looks pretty nice!

I think you might be surprised at the results if you sold it. One thing's for sure, you won't see another.

Ken, give it at least a few days before you strip it, you might start to like it.

I tried so hard, all but going out to CA to supervise the painting of this bass to make sure the color was right.I know how to shoot this color now in my sleep I cant believe he just left it to some employee to do,I don't want this color on this bass.

I have been planning this project for a long time I know what I want this isn't it.It gets stripped tonight I get ****** off everytime I look at it,it makes me WANT TO KICK DOLANS TEETH IN.

Ken, I don't think you're being a*al about it at all. It looks to me as if the painter "knows" his F***** colours & you got "ah well, close enough" which is not what you're paying for. I've deliberately held off doing one of my basses down here cause I don't want "close enough" either.

Ken, if Dolan has ever seen you in person, there's a pretty good reason why he's avoiding you.

Why don't you put up that pic you had up last year, you know, the one where you look like you could make matchsticks out of you v63?

For those who don't know, Ken's muscles have muscles!

Ken,
Try to relax on the stripping. Dolan has offered the refund, so you are out no money for the paintjob---the bass looks a little different at this point, but there are no two fireglo finishes that are the same, nor autumnglo or Monty Brown. I've seen extremely dark-around-the-edge of all these colors. Let it go for a few days. By then you might like it for what it is: a very unique V63. It certainly is one of a kind. Plus, you run the risk of damage if you strip it.

If you still don't like it after a time, sell it.

Yeah it used to be a nice quite forum and very informative but lately it's turn into Ken's ****** and he wants to hurt somebody. There's enough violence in this world. I'm sure Dolan didn't set out to cause you grief. You have seriously dis'd him in a public forum which may have an impact on his business. Did he do that to you?
Chill out dude and sleep on, learn to do refinishing yourself or something to keep your mind off of hurting people.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or be in polite.

I took a brand new mint v63 sent it out to get refinished by Mike Dolin not anyone else,For some odd reason Mike leaves it to some amateur who has no idea what I want. after waiting 3 months numerous emails and phone calls to make sure of the color correctness>

I get exactly what I told him [must have been ten times] I don't want.Someones total arrogance and stupidity caused this and failure to listen..Let it be a lesson to us all.

Now I have to refine it again I am out time, shipping[$180.00],messed up TRC a chewed up case....For What??????
