John, David and I knew you wanted that 310 back, we have determined that this was a vicious plot you were going to spring all along. But the part of the plan that failed was you were supposed to give ME the 59 315 as payoff and to feign ignorance. You WILL be re-captured. LOL

I have almost finished adding a third pickup to the '59 315. Can't wait to refinish it black tonight. You don't mind the improvements do you, John?

Kenny Howes, it was great to meet you. Remember that business card I gave you.

How was the wedding?

I want to express my appreciation to all involved with the gathering on Saturday. Everybody was super nice and the Instruments were exceptional! It was great to see things that I had only seen in books before. To actually hold and play a Rick Doubleneck was such a thrill! I was the one who brought the Walnut 4003/8 Bass. Did anyone happen to snap a close up of it? If so, could you please post it? My only regret was that I had to leave early. I'll be there and stay longer next time for sure.
Thanks again to all!!!

It was nice to meet you and welcome Rick ! That was a great 4008....it gave me a new appreciation for the "other" string arrangement Image. It was a fantastic player and quite a looker. Unfortunately you left before I could get a closeup.....all I have is this shot with it on the table next to my Rics.

...sorry it is sideways. I save it rotated and when it gets attached it rotates back.....

Yes that is a really cool bass, Rick. I'm glad you had a great time, and Welcome to the Forum.

I had a great time, and wanted to pop in and thank John and Don for putting on a swell shindig. Great meeting JWilli, Kenny and David McCombo, to name a few.

I posted some pics over at the BGC, where you can put up pics larger than a thumbnail. Even got a few of you bass guys.

Here's the thread:

Too bad we can't see it if we don't have a password.
