I actually use D'Addario 10's (only because there's not much to choose from here, I'd rather use Rotosound), and they suit my 480 just fine. I don't really mind the difference in pickup outputs at all. Using the setup I mentioned above, I get a pretty perfect sound for my needs. Nice and jangly, classic Ric, with an extra twang, which suits my natural underlying country influences.

Yeah, you can get a pretty good Tele sound if you want, close to a Gibson sort of jazzy sound or pure Rick jangle.
