Jeff, would the bass pod give me quite a close sound to real valves? I understand the compressor is very good too?

Very close, I think. They break up just like a tube amp... I used to own a B-12 and I was amazed how much the FlipTop on the POD acted like it...
I seem to come up with a new sound to use every time I turn it on!

Jeff, as much as I like your sound, it's not the only way to go about it

I do just fine with my GK stuff....but if you're donating, let me know.

I've often wondered about the Ashdown stuff, I was leery of the Mag series stuff but you're happy with it Steve?
I was all set to buy an Avatar 2x10 as I am downsizing too (it's hell getting older huh?!), but you give the Ashdown a thumbs up huh?

I'm not sure what you mean ... but yes the compressor is good ... not top of the line but good ... close to real values ... the pod is a modeler, simulator and an emulator ... it is similar to the amps that it models ... but not identical ... sometimes very close and sometimes quite different ... but it has many good tones in there ...

Chris, I'll give you a full report after playing it Friday night at full volume. Sounds great at 3!
