the headstock thing started with "Jetglo with black TRC" but soon transmogrified into something else... (not that I'm complaining - I love 8-strings!)

Since John Minutaglio's 5002V58 is is an instrument we don't see much, Here's a pic of the whole 8 stringer.

Hey Jeffery and Joey-

Sorry to continue the discussion a day late. I don't think the rounded horn is an S thing or a lack of binding thing as the 4003S and the V63 don't have rounded horns:

My '94 4003S

I think its unique to the set-neck 4000 and 4001S.
