On the high-res pic did anyone else notice the brownish-glo looking on the bass headstocks at the end of the front rack? The run of Monty's is done isn't it? Hmmmmm......

There were still Monte Browns and Blue Boys being finished when I was there, late-October.
But, the employees are in a very high-efficiency mode, chipping away at the backlog, which at that time was 410 days, according to JH.
Anyone who has handbuilt even one set-neck guitar could not help but be amazed by the sheer numbers of beautifully-crafted instruments that grace the rolling racks in each department of the RIC plant.
Each guitar--each guitar! is hand-sprayed, hand-sanded, hand-buffed. The deluxe models are hand-bound. Inlays are put in by hand.
But the parts that determine accuracy and consistency (bodies, fretboards, necks) are CNCd and then hand-tweaked.
Incredible output and matchless quality. Am I sounding like a commercial here?

Thanks guys but our work is done for the day!
Brian-
We do have some Monty Browns and Blue Boys still in the shoot.
Paul-
When I'm out on the floor I can't see the difference between Mid and BBR even from fairly close up the way the light falls on the guitars sometimes.
