Greg, I may be misinterpreting your posts but you and Joey have been on the same page from the start. If any of the previous posts on the this thread seemed combative, you may want to recheck the names. As far as I can tell, you and Joey had no quarrel.

I will be the first to admit I'm not always tactful when I'm angry or upset.

But why crucify the man if hes working on a solution?

I don't blame him.

I asked JH for a [Huge] favor last week he told me he would do what he could when he could I pretty much left him alone and he came through big time.

Thank you JH.

If you give him a chance he will come through.

I am sure he will. Unless I missed something (very possible Image ) no one here is trying to crucify JH. I certainly would not advocate for that.

I was referring to why JH got upset over this in the first place,if the guys from both forums would have just let him correct the problem, this thread would not exist.

Be patient he will deliver.

I'll order one the day they're back in production. They have the best feel of any bass I've ever played by far .

I have seen your pics. You need a haircut ROFL - JK JK :-)
A haircut!!!...not necessary...it's disappearing all by itself. Slowly but surely, my waving hair is waving goodbye. LOL

I'm glad this thread is taking a turn for the better. I haven't a quarrel with anyone. If we disagree on a matter that's okay, innovations and progress don't happen out of teams of people that always agree.

Since my finger-picking has gotten much better, I would be interested in purchasing a "finger-friendly" 4004cii/5 in the near future....the VERY near future.... Image

Your right Chris, then there would be no need for a measly little 4002 lying around taking up space.

Plenty of room here for unwanted 4 string 4002s.

Ken...you are wrong. I have a LOT of space in my house for Rics...

There is an empty hole in the room just waiting for a BBR .... or two....

Chris sold a couple of his kids to make room for more Ricks! Image

Someone said this a ways back:

'With all the projects that RIC is already working on, the last thing JH needs are the kids in the back seat saying "are we there yet? .... are we there yet?...."'

...which I thought was appropriate.

Why aren't you on vacation? Shouldn't you be in like, Tahiti, or someplace? Image

Damn! I hate being appropriate!
But like many here, I will be ordering a 4004cii/5 as soon as they are reintroduced. It would be very cool if they were ready in 2006 so that they could be ordered with the 75th anniversary "whatever it is".

As much as I agree that constant pestering is unnecessary, I can't really blame potential customers for wanting to know what is happening when the model has been advertised in brochures for years, and open to order, with many people probably even putting money down for one. If you want to avoid this in the future, simply refrain from announcing the model until it is fully developed, well into production and ready to roll, which was obviously not the case with this bass.
