I think it's great that Marc has shown interest in organizing a confluence, but I agree with Jeff about the location. Something a bit more upstate would be more central for folks in the north-east U.S. and the Toronto-Montreal corridor. We might even be able to get a few of the guys who live in the maritimes.

Well, if someone up north wants to put one together. That's fine by me, but I wouldn't be able to set that up.

I would certainly go however.

It would be cool if we could do one sort of close to me so I could donate a sound system and we could have some real music, jam, fun, etc.,mic everything up, later summer is best as most of the bugs are gone , temps are good, and Georgian Bay is wonderful in the summer. 1.5 hrs north of Toronto

Here's the plan, people:

1. Arrive in Toronto Tuesday September 12th.

2. Arrive in Buffalo Thursday 14th.

3. Attend NY State confluence (wherever it may be) the weekend commencing Saturday 16th.

4. Head to Cleveland Monday 18th or Tuesday 19th.

I need to get to Duluth MN on Thursday 21st as my presence is required in Grand Marais on Friday 22nd.

Any comments?

At this stage I'm not sure how much flexibility my air ticket gives me re: changes to flights, etc. so I need to make some decisions before I front the travel agent with my planned itinerary and questions.

I haven't given up hope of a Westchester Confluence just yet. I'm waiting to hear about any 75th Anniversary events first so I can try as hard as I can not to conflict and give as many people as possible an opportunity to attend.

I've heard whispers about a 75th 'something' in August, Marc, but no mention of September.

My plans haven't changed from the above. Hope to confirm in the next week.

I should be fair to RIC and state that the 'whisper' has not come from them and does not refer to anything 'official' - I know nothing about that. Suggestions of a confluence in SoCal in August are what I'm referring to.
