Welllllll I don't wanna brag but I'm what you'd call a bit of an arteest. Yes sir, had a few of my works hanging in a local library for a while, til I graduated to Junior High.

Ronn: Too cool! I have a guitarist friend who looks like a younger McCartney and sings rings around anyone else in town. We often did a Beatles acoustic set back and closed every night with a "LongTall Sally" rave up in the late '70s. I also know a a wonderful guitarist/singer and a drummer who would be quite content to replicate Ringo. Pittsburgh is such a hardcore blues R&B town, though, and the club scene is horrible. But I would love it -- we'd have three singers and we have all played together previously. It may yet come together if I can provide the impetus. I've had a Hofner (stolen) and played a 4001 back in my Yes cover band days. Now I have only a Lakland 55-94, but if I could get my wife to look away long enough, I'd buy a Ric again. I was in Austin back in 1996 and if I'd known about you, I'd have definitely checked it out. I'm pleased and jealous!

I always thought I Want You was the Hofner also, Id also say at least some or maybe many of those songs were a Jazz bass, I think that album is kind of mixed maybe leaning toward the 69 Jazz he had. I always though Maxwell's Silver Hammer was the Ric with only the horseshoe on. I don't think there's much Hofner on it though. McCartney's Jazz and his Ric sound very similar to me, most good players sound similar on different instruments, they get the sound they want.

Ha! You are going to ruin the musical instrument industry with statements like that, Bob, LOL. Just like how Geddy fooled alot of people on a couple albums switching between his 4001 and Jazz, and how Squire can unintendedly fool legions switching basses but still using his same inimitable fingering-- try playing the most Rickyesque phrase possible on a Fender, folks, and you may even fool yourself!
