HA!
I thought I recognized that '73.....
Marc...you could'a HAD that '73 when I had it up for sale here about 6 weeks ago!....and for CHEAP!
I sold that one to Mike Gutierrez after advertising it here at least a week with hardly any bites.......go figure....
Somehow it looks more appealing when it's on the CME display floor, I guess...

Actually Chris, when you were selling it, I didn't have the project in mind I have now.

Yeah that's the one, Chris. Used it in a trade to Scott.

Ted, those are nice pics! Haven't been to the store WITH guitars in it. Guess I'll have to wait until my next visit in March.

Ted, we will have to give you and Mr X official titles, "tour guide/trouble shooter extraordinaire/allround nice guys" or something!

I am honoured to be one of the few who knows Mr X's identity - or more to the point, his lovely wife's identity!!! I might just start a thread to see who else knows who they are.

Mr. X is certainly a character. As for his wife, she did give him that very quilted TR 4004CII for his birthday. You decide.

Not sure if I'm comfortable with this Mr. X thing. What does he have to hide? Is there a bounty on his head?

It's self-imposed, really. He's a bit of an iconoclast and wants to remain anonymous for now. He's not a celebrity, if that's where you're going. If he chooses to explain, he will come forth.
Jared, that'll be great that you can come and visit in Milwaukee. Maybe we'll even get to take a picture of you for all to see. Uh oh, hope I didn't scare you off.
For those of you who are Rick instrument enthusiasts in general (not just basses), I'm hoping to have a couple of rare instruments there if I have luck convincing the owner to appear.
