well Im at an end on the dakota.

Im going to pick it up tomarrow. The guy used the heat clamp as planned. He was able to remove the twist. but he said there is still a rollercoaster down the length - sad to say...

he says it is playable, but not perfect - obviously, and he wants me to see it before he trys anything else.

The only other option is to remove the frets and do something to the fingerboard - I cant remember what he said - but I assume he meant remove the high spots then refret..

Sadly I think Im done investing in this guitar, Im just gunna leave the neck as is and try very hard to enjoy it. Im still going to fill the lower rout of teh neck PU because my labor is free, but Im not opting for any finish...

Now to save for a 350v63, with a neck that is already slim.... and straight and under warranty.... more importantly - written warranty

oh how I long for a guitar that works - my jackson has been gettin on my nerves lately..

well I went and visited my guitar on sat and to my surprise is was much better then it had ever been (since Ive had it)

Although Dan was dissappointed in the result, Im pretty happy. He says to make it perfect he would remove the frets and plane the fretboard down till it is straight. and that would cost 200 (the cost of a refret)

Maybe after I get back from Russia and save a little Ill have that done, but for now Im happy.

Right now Dan is removing all the wiring and starting over. Fixing what Ed Roman's guy couldnt get to work. He also said the switches and pots Ed aded to the guitar are of very poor quality, and may be the root of the problem. So first thing they are gone...

I should have it on Friday - he said it would be doen today but I dont have time to get it...

this $600 guitar is costing a fortune thanks to Ed Roman

all is done now. the guitar is actualy in my posession. Romans guy had installed a faulty piezo saddle. I got that replaced and a couple solder problems fixed and the guitar is back in its tone glory.

Lays guitar shop in Akron ohio did good honest work. It took a long time waiting for Ed Roman to send me the part I needed and my trip to Russia, but I got the guitar yesterday, and havent yet put it down...

now saving for amps (acoustic and electric) and a 350v63
